But did she come to that conclusion before or after investigating the hill? I can't help feeling that Osmanagich gathered all the like-minded 'experts' he could find; ones who wouldn't need too much persuasion.

When news of this dig first broke, I read that the "pyramid" was oriented to the cardinal points of the compass. It didn't say perfectly oriented (as in the Great Pyramid), or just close (as in big deal).

It would be nice to get some accurate info on that. I'm still very intrigued.

how close is this close? and how would they be able to determine that without any walls exposed? this all seems to be an adventure in hope not fact.

I think a survey team could do an accurate job. I'm just not sure about this site and I wish that we could get more accurate info. I looked at it on Google Earth and it doesn't look like any other structure that I can see. The surrounding countryside is not given to this kind of pyramidal shape, like can sometimes be seen in the Egyptian western desert, where windblown yardangs can look very pyramidal.

I'm all for the site being thoroughly excavated. Probably Os should be fired but then I fear that it won't be followed up on.

This is obviously not a normal pyramid , or constructed as others have been . But , imho it looks as if they took a hill roughly the right shape , squared off the edges and covered it with some sort of stone cladding to give the impression of a pyramid . I've never heard of it done before but thats what I see when I look at ciko's photos .

this bosnian pyramid has charachteristics of mexican step pyramid and egyptian pyramid

bosnian pyramid has flat top, and terass like mexican
bosnian pyramid is build like egyptian , stone blocks on stone blocks

of course this is somthing new, something that terifie archelogist, they think this is imposible just beacuse it is in hearth of europe

No archaeologist is "terrified" that there might be a pyramid in Europe. Highly sceptical, yes, but what exactly would be "scary" about the prospect?
If national ego was all that motivated this 'dig' in the first place, it deserves to be a laughing stock.

I had a professor of Ancient Greek history who thought it would have been horrible to find a library of ancient texts because he would have to study all of them.

Some of these academics have very myopic outlooks.

just come and see

but many of those archelogists who critisize him from theirs offices never visited this place , you dont know how much they lie about him in media

sometime i think that some hidden organisations, masons, iluminati or other , whatever , try to stopp this

osmanagich and company will never hide something from the digging

Translation audio commentary from one of the iniciators of the petition to stop the excavation of the Pyramid of the Sun, magister of archeology prof. Mirko Babić.

'After this TV documentaries and starting a petition against the excavation of the pyramid I finally came to the excavation site. It's Saturday, and here is 1st of May, so I decided to go on a little trip to see what really is happening here in Visoko. I dare to say that the most shocking and most daring history hypotesis is presented here by mr. Osmanagić, who built all his theories on a satellite shots which show us some strange stone structures in this valley. And his hypotesis was despised by the scientists who learned to look on everything from another point of view, and I must say that I can count myself in that group. But now that I'm here, it's obvious to me that we made mistakes in our description of Osmanagić's work. This indeed is the most important Bosnian archeological site from Middle-age and we cannot allow it to be destroyed, but now when I can see their work I must say that the ruins of old city of Visoko are not in any kind of danger ...(some irelevant things)... I am a member of a National Archeologic Museum Committee and I am sure that soon we will stand in public with new opinion of this work and this theory. ...(blablabla)... Now that I've seen all of this, I'm convinced that Osmanagić's intentions are of good nature, and that he's doing a completely legal job with his own economic resources so there is nothing bad to be said about him. Now I do believe that stones are not just a natural shape, but I'll have to spend much more time examining the whole case and they'll have to do much more excavation before I can accept his opinion that this is actually a pyramid.'
