again i think you miss the point of that story and what led up to the command and action. when one only looks at the surface issue then they tend to ignore the why.

they look at something like this verse and evaluate it through their own senses and understanding, a human perspective, forgetting that God has His own purpose. One such purpose is that He has the right to punish people for their sins, just as humans do on a much smaller scale. yet we feel it is okay for humans to do so but that same privilage is not granted to God. why? because people view God in only one aspect and want Him to be a certain way, they cannot accept the fact that there is more to Him than what they want.

limiting oneself to judging God from a solely human perspective is not fair.

you think, you say you are intelligent, you have freedom of choice and you want to say that is the invention of a non-thinking, non-feeling process which is incapable of knowing success and failure, of knowing when to adjust a species or not, or knowing when to replace itself with reproductive organs? why would it do that when it is easier to just use itself ?

you can't even answer the questionas to why evolution would let the process evolve to the point where humans have attributes it doesn't have? how could it conceive of such things when it has no knowledge of the thinking, feeling, emotion etc.? nor can you give an answer as towhy humans are in the food chain at all? you cannot come up with a purpose for our existence?
