Let's see...horses went extinct during the megafauna die off at the end of the Ice Age and remained extinct until re-introduced by the Spanish.

But....if there were horses around while men were digging copper that means that they were doing so before 11,000 years bc OR after 1500 AD.

Doesn't seem likely that someone could miss by that much, does it?
