Yeah, thanks GG. That's what I mean. The first pic shows the incline of the hill quite accurately and the second shows a flat, horizontal walkway of some sort. That would suggest a structure more like a Mayan pyramid I think.

Can those Egyptians recognize a pyramid when they see one or can't they?

Bearing in mind that there was a mediaeval fortress on the hill, and that European castles had a steep glacis on thier curtain walls, copied from Crusader castles in the Holy Land like Krak des Chevaliers, how do you know
that's not what you're looking at there?

RK - of course I don't know what will be uncovered. Nobody does. I am just feeling now that it is manmade. Even if it is a castle or something else from historic times it's looking like it may be a dramatic find. And it sounds like our friend OZ enjoys a lot of drama.

I don't think "our friend oz"

is interested in money. As stated in one of the very first postings on the site.. he payed for everything himself. (or at least thats what I think I recall

). I think he really believes there is a pyramid there. I can't imagine how somebody could pull through with such a big hoax like this, for so long. If it is a HOAX.. then it is one of the largest i've ever seen .. except the moonlanding of course

.
I'm still not convinced, but as each day goes on without word that it IS a hoax, I believe more in this thing. Let us follow this very special event and let us judge when they are finished with digging. Nothing has been proven yet....

An expert who built his experience in geological researches of famous Egyptian pyramids in Giza, Barakat was recommended to researchers by the world's leading Egyptologist Zahi Hawass, said Mario Gerussi of the Bosnian Pyramid Foundation.

Very interesting. GG, you seem to be pretty much all over this thing. What do you think?

I think something is there. No question about that but its too early to call yet, although there are a lot of interesting facts.

Think about that. If by some chance it turned out to actually be a pyramid that was taller than Giza, and even older than Giza, then what happens? Tourist dollars go to Bosnia, the archaeological community flocks to Bosnia, and all the media focuses on OZ.
Gonna happen? I seriously doubt it. But just in case..... what is the Egyptian version of Hari Kari
