The debate right now is about a very accurate ancient history book, the most accurate ever written, to disavow its obvious accuracy is strange indeed, but such is what you are willing to do, despite all the evidence that the Bible is a fantastic source for information about the ancient world.

Guest - another good book if you want to have a look at the different digs through the years is John Romer's "Great Excavations" - link on Amazon.com -->

There was a TV series based on the book that is available on CD. I only saw one episide, but I pretty much loved any documentary I saw by John Romer.

That's what I'm talking about. Stop the name calling.
Also, stop making broad blanket statements you cannot back up.

the Bible as never shown any historical inaccuracy
Neither has "Gone With The Wind", nor "Gilgamesh", or "The Wizard of Oz" for that matter.
I see you don't deny the insults.

I think it was Beagle that suggested that. After trading posts with GV I think Beagle is spot-on.

Check the record to see who instigates the insults, Frank.
Oh, and by the way, modern archaeology has confirmed much of the ancient history in the Bible, with no evidence to contradict the text, but can you say the same about The Wizard of Oz?

Gone With the Wind is far and away historically superior to biblical fairy tales.

And that is why Gone With The Wind has been the primary roadmap for archaeological endeavours in the Middle East?

People who followed that road map got lost.
One should not always believe everything they read.

Starting with genesis and working straight on through revelations.
