why is it that secular researchers are such crybabies spoiled children that they refuse to encounter those who have different perspectives and theories?
Arch, you're doing a real good job of whining from afar.

Not his fault, Cogs.

I didn't say it was his fault, Min. I just said I was going to blame him. :D

If this is any use as feedback (seeing as this is the first time I've noticed this thread) I start off on the news page every day, although I tend to limit myself to subjects where I have at least a little knowledge - this is purely down to how much time I have in a day. That said, the forum itself looks like it might almost qualify as news what with all that Charlie's involved in. Yeah. Anyway. Just to say all the time and effort Michelle and others put in is appreciated here (and by others I'd include my fellow "munchkins") even if it's sometimes way out of my area (Vikings for example). Big up yourself, as we say in SE London.

Thank You

Michelle, I am very appreciative of your tireless efforts. Having read through Archaeologica first thing in the morning for years I don't know how I would feel wihout it. Well done ... but where do you get the energy to do all this so consistently?

Actually 'this' evolved into what it is now when I wasn't looking.

The news page was born out of a deep appreciation for all things old and it is just something I love to do.

It is the contributors, and a huge thanks to all, that make these boards work!

Seconded with knobs on. I log on when I get in from work (around midday here) and it's been the cause of many a delayed bath. Plus with all the crap I have to put up with at present (Xmas is always murder at my work place) it's an oasis of calm in a world of er... uncalm.

Michelle - I've been trawling through the old threads (working forwards from the back) and today I noticed six pages where I'm sure there used to be seven. Is it just that the index pages got bigger or have any old threads been culled of late? Should I speed up my backtracking before some of them disappear? Or did I dream the mystical seventh page?

There once were seven pages. You've not missed anything of import. All I have deleted were some odd single posting topics and a rant or two from an old past member.

Only the very insignificant is gone, all the really good stuff contributed is still here.

"There is nothing wrong with your TV, we control the horizontal, we control the verticle....."

It's OK, Michelle. We all love a woman who takes control! :D
