and up goes mine

Charlie, I'm just looking for a photo besides my studio shot in a coat and tie. I had it on an old business card. I'll find a real life photo and put it up.
Ha! O.K., I'll put mine back up. I thought everyone was bailing on the image deal.

Just like the rape of the Sabine women. Interesting Charlie, and it would explain the mDNA findings.
there have been no mtDNA findings
Link ?
I'm gonna sit back and learn on this one. :?

I'll be the first to admit, I don't know jack about the nuts and bolts of genetics.

Yup ... that's exactly what happened. Kill the adult men and steal the women and children (I can attest that children make great slaves). Furthermore, any hybrid genetic traces would have washed out eons ago

Right? You think I hauled all these rocks up that dang valley wall?

Boy they get pissy at times! :P The older ones have decided to find jobs...

 Works like a charm.

When my two were about 11 and 8 they dug an enormous hole in the back yard.

If I had told them to dig a hole like that they would have called Child Protective Services on me! As it was, they weren't too happy to have to fill it back in, which I assured them was easier than digging it out.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

So, Charlie, I had to go to the post office which was packed. I'm standing on line looking out the window at the landscaping and there are all these rocks piled up. I found myself noticing that some were triangular shaped, like your non-existent North American hand axes but they were rounded off and showed no signs of being worked into shape. Other stones that had been fractured showed straight chips with again, no sign of being knapped.

While looking I found myself thinking.....

Goddamn you, Charlie.....Now you have ME doing it!!!!!

The region had been inhabited continually for 13,000 years, LaBelle suspects, based on his summer's discoveries of more than 200 new sites nearby.

"We've got everything from the really, really old to Native American sites combining the use of stone tools and European technology (such as) rifles and horses," he said. "And that's after just scratching the surface."
This site is associated with the discovery of the folsom points. I suspect we'll have some problems with dating here too.

All anybody has to do is Google (that's the name we use for research) "mDNA findings", just like in the post.

:P ...you got the curse! Say, you live in Arizona. You got any streams or rivers around there? Tell me what town you live in, and I'll pull up Google Earth, and check out the streams. Might be worth checking...never know...8)

A warning, though: Your life will never be the same...

Surprise, AZ.

Is it required that the rivers actually have water in them? Because our rivers are pretty dry.

Those rivers were overflowing at times during the late Pleistocene. Happy hunting!

Yeah, you just have to pick your poison. I've got my hands full studying the archeology and geology bit. I do read your posts, and glean info here and there. 8)

Yeah, Cog is right, Min. Think about it: Blackwater Draw seldom has water, but look at the finds there:

Blackwater Draw is only ca. 350 miles from the Arizona state line.

And then you have the Murray Springs site, in Arizona

Another dry wash.

Who would live next to river that is dry for 11 months out of the year?

Our ancestors were not stupid, you know!

Think Wisconsin and the Illinoisan. Much wetter. We're in an interglacial, currently. If your dependent off the land, when it's hot and dry, you move north (in N.A. anyway), when it's wet and cold, you move south.

Imagine your area plush and green. Trip, huh?
