Yep, and did you see my post before that one? I think this is just a little too cute.

Oh, I firmly believe that the media has been co-opted by the corporate bastards who really own this country.

I think there is some winkin' and noddin' going on.
Ya think?!?!? :D But then again, that's politics as usual.....

It's more than just the one office that needs to change.....it's the limited parties involved.

I think we need to dig up HST and prop him up in the White House. It wouldn't be any crazier than what has been going on.

Sounds good. By todays standards, Truman would be a hard line conservative. :D

Well, I was pretty disappointed in the debate. Once again, most of the questions were softball set-up questions. It got better in the last 20 min.

I heard only one fiscal question asked, although they both talked about turning the economy around. The fact is - we are not in a recession. But - it's an election year so it's standard fare to say the economy is in the tank.
A few areas of the country have problems with upside down mortgages.
Note to all: Do not be talked into an ARM (adjustable rate mortgage).

Anyway, Hillary had her chance to go on the attack but didn't. So I think she is toast. The crowd booed the one time Hillary got a little tough. Getting tough doesn't play well with the Democrat crowd. It plays fine with Republicans.

It seems like Hillary is ready too toss in the towel.

Gee.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Sen. John McCain said Friday that while lobbyists serve as close advisers to his presidential campaign, they are honorable and he is not influenced by corruption in the system.

McCain, who has styled himself as an enemy of special interests, defended having lobbyists working for his campaign. He is the expected Republican presidential nominee.
What happened to all the denials!

Have you seen his news conference? He answered all questions, and then said afterward that he had nothing more to say on the subject. It was a good news conference.

The NY Times has come under a lot of criticism, and one of their reporters has quit the paper in disgust. Lots more news.

I can almost hear George Peppard saying "I love when a plan comes together"

I have to admit that I haven't.

Was too busy watching this story unfold.
Renzi, a three-time representative from Arizona's First Congressional District who announced his retirement in August, also happens to be a close ally of Senator John McCain. Renzi is a co-chair of McCain's campaign in Arizona. The Arizona Republic describes the two men as "close." In June 2006, McCain sent out a fundraising letter on Renzi's behalf.

There's no doubt about it fellahs. You'd be banned from poitics on the woodworking forum as well. What set one chap off was, as he put it, 'I'm fed up with you telling us all our politicians are rubbish!'
Welcome to the club guys!

That's why I stay off of woodworking forums, Dig. They are notoriously intolerant!
