That's the big problem Le, there is absolutely no room for common ground between Islam and the west. You take the whole package or nothing, and militant Islam ignores as much of the Koran than it follows.
Many of the so called Islamic rules are Arabic, Afghani, on Mohgul traditions, nothing more.
I rather think that Mohammed would not not be a Moslem.

There are two basic rules to religious fundamentalism Min, and they all share it.
One, they are right and everybody else is wrong.
Two, they hold the truth and everybody else is bound for Hell!
It is often difficult to tell one lot from 'tother!

Difficult. Six years after the cowboy gave his Wanted Dead or Alive speech we don't even know where he is.
Arch is in Korea. That much is certain.

If Arch is running the site they should change the name from KoKo&Archie to "KoKo&CooCoo." And what a name for a board on religion Septic Tank.

But I've had my fill of Arch. I'll leave trying to put him in his place to you, as you are better equiped in the sarcasm department.

Arch couldn't run a vacuum cleaner.
They did give him his own forum for a while but he ended up deleting most of the posts.
The boy has "control" issues.

No doubt he's happy Min and there's a lot to be said for it. I often wish that I had that much faith.

<That's the big problem Le, there is absolutely no room for common ground between Islam and the west.>
And with everyone else. Hindus have problems with Islam. In Africa, all the native shamen have trouble with Islam, not only Darfur. In China, the Jihadim have been robbing pre-islamic graves and destroying priceless Buddhist art in the Silk Road towns.
All the other religions have figured out how to get along with each other excepting Islam. And as we see with the Sunni and shia, they cant even get along with themselves.
But common. What else would you expect of people who will follow a prophet with a 9 year old wife? Or believe him when he tells the Jihadim that they get to spend eternity fucking 12 year old virgins. Or call for the beheading of a woman archaeologist because she dared to write about pre-Islamic roots?
No, man. These guys dont need freedom of religion. they need more intensive case management and meds.

Extremism comes in many shades and colors and for some reason as cultures and ages evolve society realigns its tolerances to certain kinds of extremism. Sports team extremists can be among the most dangerous, attacking their fellow human beings, burning stadiums and inciting major riots. We look and grimace and shake our heads, but we are more tolerant of it than the street corner preacher claiming women in the abortion clinic are going to hell.
I guess a bloody nose is one thing, but a soul in hell, well that's just going too far.
