OK, my other passion is track. I'm a nationally-ranked USATF Masters sprinter. Generally top-ten in the U.S. in my age division.

I hear that Min. Easily remedied though.

No good, Beags....the only picture I had overwhelmed the board.
They need a system which shrinks photos down to the requisite size.

Yeah, I saw that. Great pic Min - beautiful background. I had to have photobucket resize mine down to avatar size. Then it worked.
Anyway, the board is gonna get a lot more colorful.

Hi Minimalist...
Beagle has it right. Basic photo editing programs let you resample a photo to a lower resolution and smaller image file size. I had to shrink my birdie pendant photo (prettier than my face) down to 100x108 pixils = 5.48 kb.

Hi Minimalist...
If you like, you can e-mail me the large photo and I will make a small one and send it back. If you want to do this just say so, and I'll send you my e-mail address in a private message - probably tomorrow - better go to bed.

I'm feeling suddenly underdressed and I only managed to scan one photo of me before my scanner blew up. It ain't a nice photo either, and it's already turned up in one place on this forum and that's where it's staying. Dammit.

Hey Min.
Here's some free online compression software:

It's pretty easy to use.

Done it! And it's all thanks to Charlie giving us that jpeg wizard link, so if ever you're in London or I'm in Texas Mr. H, I owe you beer and pies.
That's me on the right - last New Year's eve with my lovely Marian (Charles Darwin's great, great, great... (etc. etc.) ...great, great niece, or something like that - which is why I take those anti-Darwin arguments very personally - it's family, just like in The Sopranos, The Godfather, Goodfellas etc.). A photo of just me would have made more sense I know, but 1) As discussed only had a picture of myself as HNS on my computer and 2) Carl (who took the photo) only had this one stored on his and 3) she's cuter than me and so easier on the eye. Thanks to all concerned. My ego has just doubled in size.
