I think we're witnessing the stress provoked by cognitive dissonance. Their belief in the pyramid is so important for them that anything that casts a doubt on that belief is like a personal attack.

Archaeologist, don't expect rational behaviour on this subject. Yeah maybe this will end up with Os fleeing Bosnia and a bunch embarrassed people (the town next to Visoko laughing at their neighbours for decades etc. ) but it can also end up with a stripped hill being obviously a natural hill but the believers still believing in the pyramid and adapting their ideas and beliefs to the facts. We have already seen that: from step-pyramid to 'terraformed' hill. What will be next? maybe 'eroded pyramid'? maybe the guys built a pyramid but made it look like a natural hill so it could keep its secrets?

Do you have links to papers or articles to that research? When I search for 'dinarid' or 'dinaroid' I only get results for pseudoanthropometry forums, aryan superiority and Stormfront White Nationalist sites.

Of course I have,in fact there are from Semino onwards a lot of papers dealing with this.Last one have been done searching for slavic imput in all Balcan populations with probably up to date and most comprehensive
examination.Result are same and just have proven that it is about second wave from Africa.To read genetic papers have to know some things in advance,otherwise can be confusing.Papers should be readed precisely
because all that nonsence with nomenclature of genes have meaning.

i can see that and since they have had so much war, they need something positive for a change but i think this could have been done in a better way and that Os is taking advantage of a vulnerbility.

i have observed that as well and it smacks on saying anything to justify the action they are taking, kind of makes me feel sad for the bosnians.

To try to judge based on a few photographs, a handful of satellite images, and miscellaneous statements that are often contradictory (and which have in some cases been subject to mistranslation and misunderstanding), is not my approach.

Not too surprisingly, there are a lot of sites on the 'net that have already decided what Schoch will say and are very unhappy about him going to Bosnia.

i have no problem with him going, i am worried about what he will say. i don't feel that enough has been uncovered to make a proper determination in favor of a pyramid and too little has been said or credited to the known construction on the hill.

sure this hill could have been formed by man as man does terrace hillsides, that has been proven here in the orient for generations. then to limit that formation to solely a pyramid is just pure folly for there are numerous reasons why man would do just that.

gardens, play area, living space and so on. those are just a few examples of why the hill took the shape that it did. without ancient documents to cast light on this area, i doubt the legitimacy of calling it a pyramid.

this hill can be whatever an archaeologist wants to call it and Os made it public first so we may be stuck with that moniker whether it is or isn't a pyramid.

Unless Schoch comes up with some clear evidence that he can publish, not a lot of geologists or archaeologists will pay much attention. His recent books haven't impressed many people who aren't followers of people like Graham Hancock already.

And where is Barakat's report? My betting is that there never will be a report from him.
