Tut's Iron Hammer
Drifting ever further from the thread...King Tut was also buried with a small iron hammer made from a meteorite. More stuff from the sky. BTW, if anyone has a picture of this hammer I would dearly love to see it. I have looked and looked but come up empty.

I did a search, F/T and found nothing on it, either.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Because the pyramidologists haven't been posting to keep it on track. We're just keeping it alive for them in the meantime.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

In this post [www.hallofmaat.com] I have written about the "Geophysical Analysis" from Dr Smailbegovic. I noticed that he was very prudent about the possible interpretation of the satellite imagery, but that the documents published in bosnian on the Foundation website were much more affirmative. In fact, the "thermal inertia" map he produced has been used by M. Osmanagic as a proof (it was it seems this map that the President of the Federation used to convince M. Maatsuri of the Unesco of the necessity of sending a team of scientists). If you remember, the map showed five "anomalies", among which Visocica and Pljesevica.
Now, Amer Smailbegovic is also moderator on a forum named "Cyberbulevar", where he posted this on the 18th of July : [img85.imageshack.us]. Then he modified it yesterday and the post is now this one : [www.cyberbulevar.com]
I'll try to translate it in part :
"I think that for now it's almost surely excluded that any serious scientist will participate in anything around Visoko. [...] Sam has, in one way or the other, made that in the scientific world exists a serious prejudice and stigma on anything linked with Visoko." (In the second version, he has added something about the local malevolent bloggers who are making the things worse)
"What you can see on Pljesevica (the slabs) is what we call orthogonal fissures made by the stress of the geomechanic accomodation. [...] Even if there are some rare places which are really "anthropogenic" (man-made), there are very well founded indications (in the second version, "there are also indications") that the entire hill of Pljesevica is nothing else than an anticlinal (here is something I'm not sure to understand, about the "edge of a hat", I think it's the shape of the anticlinal). Maybe on the summit or below will be found some constructions, but I have not seen any."
So Dr Smailbegovic does not believe there is a pyramid under Pljesevica, even if he adds later that "Visocica is a better candidate for history". You can also notice that his name no longer appears on the Foundation website under the "Geophysics and Remote Sensing Committee" (even if a company from Reno, where he lives, is still credited for the imagery).
As I said in my post about the scientific reports, the explanation of the "thermal anomalies" should be searched first in the geology (for example a layer of stone frequent on the top of the hills, that reacts differently than the others layers) ; if one of the "pyramids" appears to be a natural anticlinal, can we presume that the other "anomalies" can also be explained more simply than by 12000 years old pyramids ? At least, I think that this position of Dr Smailbegovic weakens a lot the thesis of the pyramids.

PS I also think it's a pity that Amer Smailbegovic, who seems on his forum quite disappointed by all the affair and his stay in Visoko, has not expressed any worry about the way his work is "translated" in bosnian and used on the Foundation website, where are put in his mouth words quite different from what you can read in his report or on his forum. Example : "The first analysis we have made give us a strong impression that we are dealing with pyramids, or at least some great artificial structures" concludes Dr Smailbegovic... (you can find this in one of the .doc files in bosnian, the one called "Analiza satelitskih i radarskih snimaka")

I'd imagine all the Bosnian posters are feeling ever so slightly sick after Osmanagich's last missive. 
Back to that Horizon programme last night. Barakat was filmed leading an expedition into the Great Sand Sea to find the area where all this "desert glass" lies. He was officially described as "Egypt's leading 'Desert Glass' expert"-no mention of any prowess in the pyramid field.
Anyway, the experts reckon the desert glass was formed by an airburst meteorite 30 million years ago. There is no obvious crater within several hundred kilometres, so they think it may have been heavily eroded and the remains transported by long-vanished lakes and rivers. They examined the glass and found the remains of two elements (?)-Zircon and something. By examining the rate these decay at, they arrived at the conclusion that the blast reached a temperature of at least 1800C-hotter than lava.
Apparently there is a similar glass phenomenon in SE Asia-Cambodia, Thailand etc-formed by a meteoric "shower" similar to comet Shoemaker-Levy which hit Jupiter in 1994. The programme hinted that if comets are really just loose collections of rocks held together by gravity, the effect of hitting the atmosphere would separate them all and potentially cause even more destruction.

thanksHe will arrive next Thursday, the 27th.
i think Os has shot himself in the foot over that diatribe. kindof makes you wonder how he was able to swing all the permits needed to dig in the first place.I'd imagine all the Bosnian posters are feeling ever so slightly sick after Osmanagich's last missive

I think his father was involved. The normal system was bypassed and no archaeologists were involved.
