I'll probably get in trouble for this, but here goes;

Two Aggies were car shopping, but they only had 50 bucks. They searched all over College Station at car lots and were on the verge of giving up when a salesman at one small lot offered them a camel. They explained that they didn't know how to drive a camel so he informed them that it was simple, especially with this camel. "He stops at red lights and goes when it turns green" They decided that was simple enough, even for a couple of aggies so they bought it. About an hour later they returned to the car lot afoot and demanded their money back. The salesman asked them why and they said;
"Well he stopped at red lights just like you said and went when it changed just like you said, but we were stopped at one red light and these two guys pulled up next to us in a pickup. One of them says to the other 'look at those two assholes on that camel'. When we got off to look the light changed" :wink:

I hadn't heard a good Aggie joke since college!
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Some of you have insufficient respect for archeological
procedures, and have resorted to ribaldry here on a public
forum! To correct this deplorable trend I want to suggest the following model for scheduling our work when we begin digging at Barsoom. The following is an account of a highly professional operation, the excavation of Caral, which I found on a French site (Google translation):
The excavations in 2003 are carried out with a team of 11 archaeologists, 25 workmen with the excavations and 8 semi-skilled workers in the conservations, trvaillant on bearing going for the 22 working day old archaeologists followed from 8 of rest. Majority of the workmen being at the base of the farmers of the area. Are these excavations which allowed under the control of the archaeologist
8) :lol:

Sounds a little like ciko, doesn't it?

Yeah, where the hell is Der Lange? He must be at sea doing something really cool. What does "Der Lange" mean? Is it a name or some phrase in some foreign language? I'm hoping he'll see this and answer. :D Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Where you at?

Der Lange translated literally from the German means something like "the long". Old English says 'Lang". Maybe he is a tall person. More than likely, it means something altogether different for him.

After all, I don't really look like a dog. (that's what my mother always said)

Referring to a previous post about firearms, I'm inclined to not argue with you. :lol:

BTW - if you are a black powder shooter as many of my friends are - you really ARE into it. I've never gone there.

Anyway, somebody PM Der Lange and tell him to post on this thread.

I'm gonna take a wild stab at this Frank. Is that beautiful weapon a KENTUCKY LONG RIFLE. As in "old Betsy"?

That wasn't me who posted that pic. It was Bob aka Minimalist. It's a flintlock , possibly a brown bess? I think "Ole Betsy" was a cap and ball. (Not sure though) I never shot a muzzle loader of any type.
