If we're still talking about this fellow with the reed boat, there was no extended ice pack in 6,000 BC.
Yeah, the guy's point, that's sailing the Atlantic, is a transatlantic, open water crossing was possible 6,000 B.C. It was possible much earlier in my opinion. I still get a kick out of the Solutrean cave painting of a sailboat. 8)

Classic.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Spanish investigators believe they may have found proof that neanderthal man reached Europe from Africa not just via the Middle East but by sailing, swimming or floating across the Strait of Gibraltar.

And, BTW Mr. English degree: "But how does the position of the ice edge effect the point I made?" ought to read "But how does the position of the ice edge Affect the point I made?" in proper English!
Hey, that's nothing ... F/M ended a sentence with a preposition about a month ago. I'm still reeling from that one!
