Terry,

First off, if the photo is not hosted on the web already you have to use a web hosting service.

I suggest Photobucket.com. Free, relatively easy to use and they don't annoy the hell out of you with pop-ups.

Photobucket, once you have uploaded your image, will give you a url for it.

Copy this url and open Archaeologica and get to the point where you want to create a thread.

Then, hit the Img button above.

Next, paste the url tht you have from Step #1 and then hit the Img icon again.

That should do it. Hit submit and your picture you show up.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Also, as I'm sure you know Min, Photobucket provides an <img> script which can be copied directly into your post without any extra steps, like hitting the Image button. It works great. Its the method I use because I love to make things as easy as possible for myself.

(now if only I could figure how to just click an image have it automatically upload into my photobucket account.)

True but the url link is on top and Terry wanted it kept simple.
