More Than Foot of Rain Floods Texas

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

My parents got 19", about 50 miles west of here. Oddly, we only got 1.5".

We've got a dam being pumped out to prevent failure, Salmon swimming past shops and some 3000 plus people being airlifted out.
Bet GW gets the blame, as opposed to a reduction in the jet stream, as happens of course.

You have to be joking fellahs! In this 'free' country that Blair has passed to us I would need a rod licence, permission from the land owner, and I would be prosecuted for fishing out of season and probably prevented from eating it because of contaminated water!
I kid you not!

Sure thing Charley, but until our leaders suffer an outbreak of common sense this is the daft sort of decisions we have to put up with.
I'm old fashioned, I believe that a boy should be raised with a dog, this teaches him the meaning of responsibility and loyalty. I also believe that he should climb trees, and break a leg if necessary, so that he learns about risks etc. Not any more, over here you have to have a license to climb a tree now!

You probably won't have to wait 5 hours in the ER on average to get it treated, though.

IOWA CITY - According to a national study, the longest average visits for emergency medical care were in Arizona - nearly five hours.
Close behind are Maryland and Utah where patients wait just over four hours.

That's a no to all three fellahs. We have a saying over here about the lunatics running the asylum. Todays example.
I'm not sure of the terms used in the States but I'll give it a try. What we call a Traffic Warden is critically ill in hospital having been beaten half to death for placing a parking ticket (citation?) on a vehicle delivering a wreath to a wake for a soldier killed in Iraq!
The mourners explained, but this hero was not to be put off. Perhaps the attack should not have taken place, but I strongly suspect that the Warden will ellicit little public sympathy for his actions.
