Armenian Stonehedge

Post by kbs2244 »

Something I came across while looking up something else. Does anyone know more about it? To me it is just another unexplained standing stone observatory, in an out of the way place, that pre-dates “accepted history.”

Armenian Stonehedge - Believed to be somehow related to the Stonehenge in England, it also predates it by about 3,500 years! Karahundj, also known as Zorats Karer, is a 2nd Millenium BC rock fromation on a plain outside Sisian, in the Syunik Region:

So Adam, Methusalem, Henoch, and Noah were Dmanisi Men!

Pet peeve...it's not stoneheDge...it's Stonehenge. A henge is a usually circular area of land defined by a ditch and an internal bank. A hedge is something you put up to piss off the neighbours.

"Oh look dear, the neighbours have such a beautiful henge nex door, and the inner bank would make a great place to grow potatoes..."
