Now if someone would invent a 'Mute Button' for runaway pop ups and Google ads.....

Already have one.....it's the notification that it's blocking a pop up that is starting to annoy.

There should be a setting to turn off the notification, no?

I'll say. That Johnny Cash bio (the Joaquim Phoenix one) has just been on, and I normally hate the adverts enough as it is, but to have that particular film interrupted by adverts for f****** car insurance felt like repainting the Mona Lisa with a T-Mobile baseball cap.

Even amusing ads (like the Geico caveman series) lose their appeal after the first 5-6,000 viewings.

All -

Very simple.

I haven't watched TV since the early eighties.

With no apparent loss,

As far as I can tell.............

I need my sports fix, John.

Then there are some decent documentaries. Network TV is an astounding waste of time and effort, though.

Didn't have a TV for many years myself, so I can appreciate that. To be honest, if I didn't live with my supposedly better half, the TV would only be useful as something to plug the DVD player into - as it stands though I am presently obliged to do the 'quality time' thing. Quality time is me watching DIY makeover property shows (etc) with my girlfriend, rather than wasting time with all that book learning, writing, doing things I enjoy more than watching DIY makeover property shows - which includes just about everything from red hot pokers up the arse upwards.

Oh to be single again. :( Life used to be so much simpler.

Without a doubt the most useful invention would be some device that prevented elderly ladies from blocking supermarket gangways with their carts!!!!
