Glastonbury sans mud
I don't know who on here is interested in contemporary music, but for those that are, can I highly recommend this set by the super-amazing Editors last night at Glastonbury?

i'm not lookin' for who or what made the earth - just who got me dizzy by makin it spin
That was quite stunning ... bit eurotrash for my taste, but visually very rich.
What did you mean, though, the conductor looks like Min?
Have you seen what he looks like?

You're right.
Min, your wife looks lovely...
Er .. and so do you, of course... well, not lovely as such ... you know what I mean!

Well even you classics-only types will not fail to be wooed by this. The delectable Ms Duffy in hotpants at Glastonbury on Saturday, singing like an angel.

Me too and not to mention R. Carlos Nakai, Ozzie (as in Osborne), Meatloaf and Mannheim Steamroller! There is very little I like with the exception of Rap, just can't stand it.Minimalist wrote:I like Mozart.
(There is the occasional classic opera I love that pains my husband to no end)

I'm sure it is, Min. Until very recently, I used to sing in a choir and we would do all the great works including Mozart's Requiem and Mass in C Minor and Ave Verum, and all in Latin too! And I must say, there was nothing better than standing in the middle of a 100-strong choir when it was in full flow - it was so exhilarating, a total buzz!
But I enjoy all types of music - if you have an ear for music, you can hear beauty and harmony in the best of all sorts of genres, you don't have to limit yourself to just the one ... but not all of them I grant you - now rap! Ugh! Don't get me started on that!
