Why the apparent mandate
For discovering "human" qualities
In the Neanderthal, rather than
Neanderthal qualities in Homo s?
I'm not referring to the interbreeding hype, here,
Rather, the fact that these two groups
Were contextually contiguous for
At least a couple hundred thousand years.
"Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
they fly forgotten, as a dream
dies at the op'ning day."
