Actually, it is one person's hypothesis that Solutreans were either Neanderthals or hybrids. To date, no Solutrean skeletons have been found that I know of - anyone care to look? The Lago Velho child burial in Portugal slightly predates the Solutrean culture and appears to be a hybrid according to Trinkhaus.

Seals are easy enough to trap/knock on the head when they're resting on shore they can also be shot with an atlatl or bow from the waterside, Dolphins not so very since they are always swimming and rarely in shallow water (think b-word).

One method to take Dolphin-travelling offshore in a swift boat (over 4 knots/hour Dolphins love use a bow wave to catch a ride) someone with spearing skills can plug a Dolphin- Mexican fisherman friends of mine have in the past just for a taste of something different.
