My sources tell me that there's been something of an October revolution over on Mr Dawkins' forum. Apparently, Mr D himself had been coming on to the board and complaining bitterly to posters over the quality of their offerings, and so about 300 of them have broken away to form their own forum and it's here, if anyone's interested in checking it out:

I expect that source was me and I think I got my figures wrong, though the membership of the new place is now approaching 200. Everyone seems to have calmed down now, though it's been a very weird series of events with lots of unexpected name calling. Very odd seeing the esteemed Prof himself making posts using words that you wouldn't really expect him to use, notably the posting of this:

There's a history section (at the site linked by Ish) which mostly seems to be concerned with recent history (19th century to present) if anyone's interested. It all seems pretty amiable anyway.

So are you saying that you guys left Dawkins' forum so that you could be free to say what you liked, (I already know that bit) - but now Dawkins is trolling you? If so, it seems incredible to me that a guy of his supposed intelligence, genius, greatness yada yada yada has nothing better to do than troll his own rejects. Strikes me that he needs you to like him ... and show that he can use naughty words too.

I must immediately report this to my 'friends' on another forum who think that Dawkins walks on water and who all go into full prostration at the mere mention of his name.

It's moved around a bit, but it's here now. Ridiculously enough, there's a bit of a lord of the flies thing going on with a new breakaway from the breakaway forum forum (Rational Atheist) if you see what I mean. I seem to be spending all my time in Shameless Flirtation at present, so I'm not quite sure of all the politics myself. Happily, nobody can be bothered to discuss atheism.

Oh Mr. Dawkins wasn't trolling exactly, he just got a bit fucked off and called someone a juvenile.
