During this period of indigestion I'm reading 'Rewriting the Bible' by Amy Dockser Marcus.
Anyone else read it?

No. What's her premise?

Non religious examination over where and how archaeology and the Bible agree/disagree.
How economics drove the area of the middle east from the earliest days until now. The difficulties of carrying out excavations with fundamentalist Jews/Christians/Muslims all looking for political advantage from the results.
She does not appear to have done any work herself this is just a report/summary of the work of others and where they agree or more normally disagree.
Worth a read I find Min.
I picked up half a dozen similar works S/H recently. Published in 2000 so may not now be in print.

One of the few unbiased accounts I can recall Min.
If you can't find a copy I'll mail you mine if you wish.

Thanks, Roy but not necessary. I've been looking around for something to "pad" my Amazon.com order for 1491. This one will do nicely and they have it available.
