SINCE OUR MESSIAH OBAMA BECAME THE SECOND COMING WE HAVE BEEN READING SURVIVAL BOOKS. HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY THE GUY WITH A HEADACHE ATE THE FIRST WILLOW BARK?

All -
If there ever was a time to read SHTF books,
It was during the Bush administration.
And we have a staggering amount of damage
To undo, before we can truly move forward again.
Willow bark is natural aspirin.
Salicylic acid, I believe.

Natural aspirin.
Salicylic acid.
Nothing to do with Obama.

gunny, I worked the impact hazard on both sides of the aisle, and the George Brown Jr. amendment telling NASA to deal with it was passed by Republicans and Democrats.
I'm sure that Obama will make mistakes, just as Bush Jnr. did. But I would appreciate it if that unless their actions bear on archaeology, you would restrain your comments on them here.
We know that willow bark contains salicylic acid - aspirin. How the first person to use it discovered that is unanswerable - it was in common use for toothache in north east North America.

Well, not archaeology but history.
Is anybody up for some hemlock?

We're actually fairly loose about that stuff, E.P. If past history is any guide, it is "religion" that causes fireworks around here. Not "politics."

I've often wondered the same thing Gunny, it's not the most obvious thing to do is it?
Since the socialists got in here the tax on survival books puts them beyond my pocket!

You and Min think you've got problems on your side of the pond, over here the government leaves the lights on in their buildings so that any burglars don't hurt them selves. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!
