Bonekickers?

Did any of you happen to catch a truly horrible and yet wildly entertaining television series called Bonekickers? It was on BBC One in 2008. Sadly, due to its badness, they only made 6 episodes and won't return for another series. I watched the first two episodes last night so I thought I'd ask about the rest and if it was worth paying for.

Ah, you were the one I'd most hoped had seen it, Roy. Check it out sometime. I hear it's full of scandalous inaccuracies to get you all wound up and the first episode includes a scene where a radical christian beheads a muslim (BBC took some flak over that). Dreadfully fun.

I'm amazed that they even attempted it!
Roy.

Absolutely, Dig. Christians are out of practice at that sort of thing.

What I rememeber of it was that it was cheap and cheerful and treated critically as if it was "serious " .

I guess that whole serious thing was why they didn't get brought on for another series. You can't take a character who stands over a nicely troweled trench and says, "Come on, give up your secrets!" all that seriously....unless you're in the trench and she's pointing a gun at you.

I can't say I enjoyed it it but it certainly annoyed a lot of people . Mark Horton iirc was an advisor and he got a lot of stick .
