Unidentified Egyptian Temple

Dear Members,

I recently obtained a copy of the coffee table book 'EGYPT' published by Tiger Books International 1994.

ISBN 1-85501-290-1

However I have a query relating to the photograph on Pg 28-29 and again on Pg 110-111. These are colour photographs by Cesare Gerolimmeto of the 'Temple of Habo'.
I have been to Egypt on many occasions and have an extensive library on Ancient Egypt, however this temple is unknown to me. I cannot locate it on any map nor in any book, not even on the Internet. Habo sounds very much like Medinet Habu, but this temple is not Medinet Habu.

I would be most appreciative if someone could clear up this mystery for me.

Many Thanks

Ray

First off, welcome.

Second, is this the same temple to which you refer?

Thanks for the reply, but this is what is so confusing; the link you sent me was for the temple Medinet Habu. Inspite of it being referred to as the temple of Habo!

I have attached the two photographs referred to in the book. As you can see this temple bears no similarity to the Medinet Habu temple.

You got me curious, rahorus.

I ran a search for both "Temple of Habo" and "Medinet Habu"

This is the only web site that came up.
