'Brazilian Stonehenge' discovered
It is not yet known when the structure was built, but fragments of indigenous pottery found at the site are thought to be 2,000 years old.

Which proves nothing except that someone broke a pot there.

I would love to find out more about this site, more than just pottery shards. Info like who built it, is the 2,000 year date correct. Stuff like that.

The Americas have no lack of impressive ancient astronomical sites. Here is another cool site in Peru (with pictures) from 4,000 years ago complete with sculptures: http://www.digmo.com/news/story.php?ID=19585 Check it out, fun stuff!

You know, I really wish the Spanish hadn't burned all the Mayan books. Who knows what histories were lost...
