No luck, any way I tried, the site worked, but neither the upload of a saved resized photo or link would not work on my profile.

I use TinyPic Paleo. It will automatically size for avatars.

I haven't read the forum rules in years but on most forums there is a size limit imposed.

Some pictures can be enlarged - for example, host them on photobucket and run them through the editor - but there are two practical limitations. Some, if not most, photos get distorted when you try to enlarge them. Really big photos will mess up the formatting of the board anyway. In those cases we ask that you post a [url} tag instead of an [img] tag so that the photo opens in its own window.
