Hardly a day passes without some idiot politician stating that 'Britain has an unmatched record on asylum' etc, which was repeated on another forum.
The row thickens, I simply pointed out that England invented the Holocaust, not the Nazis, but don't bother looking it up in a history book!

The Duke of Windsor, formerly King Edward VIII, had very public Nazi sympathies during the early years of WWII.
He was dispatched to govern the Bahamas, probably as a damage control measure, by his brother King George VI.
Go figure.

There's alway been an element of anti semitism in Britain just as there is anti others elswhere. But over here it had the force of law until 1890!
