Meteor Impact Injures Hundred

I see where this forum is big on impact events. What happened today is an extraordinary coincidence given the close passage of a Near Earth Asteroid at about 2:30pm Eastern time Friday Feb. 15. I've maintained a meteorite collection since the early 80's. This will likely rank as one of the most historic meteorite falls ever recorded. There will be major collectors/dealers on their way to the region as I speak. This report has some great footage of this event:

Yeah, shawomet. You can pick up cheap used copies of my book "Man and Impact in the Americas" over at amazon.

The current reports are that this one came in tangential to the path of asteroid 2012 DA14.
A remarkable coincidence.
