Egyptian (and European) Chronology

Post by uniface »

Since Egypt's come up, rather than hijack the thread, anyone with the ability to consider that the whole dating scheme of history might be a humongous crock (and consider the hard -- as in mathematical -- evidence that established this beyond reasonable doubt) is cordially invited to peruse these two links which specifically cover the precise dating of ancient Egyptian monuments via decipherment of the horoscopes that (in accordance with Egyptian custom) commemorate their completion :

http://www.new-tradition.org/investigat ... ating.html
http://www.new-tradition.org/egyptian-horo.html

Probably no aspect of history has elicited a greater number of hatchet job "refutiations" (googling "new chronology" supplies a virtual catalogue of them); The History Channel (aka the holocaust-&-holy grail channel) refused paid advertising for Fomenko's earlier books when they appeared in English translation without comment. A refusal which, IMO, is a telling admission that the exhaustive evidence that the Fomenko team has assembled over the years is seen as too serious a threat to the historical-fraud-as-usual paradigm to allow it access to the awareness of English speakers.

Needless to say, in Russia the regard in which this body of scholarship enjoys is in marked contrast to the way the six-corporations-own-virtually-the-entire media propagandists paint it.

And please. I am NOT saying "you should believe this." I am saying this is worthy of your serious consideration. (Assuming, that is, that you are capable of that without your previous indoctrination kicking in).

So what's new?
I won a 1923 Parker Briarbark (pipe) @ Flea Prey a couple weeks ago. And a pre-WW II Comoy 388 (pipe) (rare shape) last night. They should be excellent smokers. And the recently adopted twins (cats) are recovering nicely from having their lady parts excised (we have nine as it is).

And on your end ?

Not to be confused with New Chronology (Rohl).
History: Fiction or Science? Chronology volumes 1–7

The New Chronology is a fringe theory regarded by the academic community as pseudohistory, which argues that the conventional chronology of Middle Eastern and European history is fundamentally flawed, and that events attributed to the civilizations of the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt actually occurred during the Middle Ages, more than a thousand years later.

And I thought Rohl was a kook and he's only trying to push Egyptian history forward by 350 years!

There is a reason why Wikipedia – which boasts that it is the world’s biggest online encyclopedia – is not considered a valid academic source by thousands of professors and most reputable colleges and universities: Because it isn’t one.

Nearly all of the seed money used to launch the site came from pornography trafficker Jimmy Wales. Wales took a search engine he developed called “Bomis” and transformed it into Wikipedia.

Larry Sanger, cofounder of Wikipedia, ended up leaving the organization, citing concerns over integrity and credibility. He has been quoted as saying, “There is no credible mechanism to approve versions of articles."

Wikipedia authors footnote the sources they use.

If they listed the sometimes much more germane ones they suppress by omission, it might be worth something.

But -- big surprise here -- you're doing some omitting yourself. As in reasoned or factual rebuttal of the information in the articles I cited.

Evidence or did you just pull that one out of your ass?

The New Chronology is a fringe theory regarded by the academic community as pseudohistory, which blah . . . blah . . . blah
You never get it, do you ?

You don't need facts and reasoned arguments when you've got slander.

I edited the duplicate post for you, Lily.

Uni, the fact that something has no evidence at all DOES NOT make it factual. Hence the determination of "fringe." Evidence, son. You need evidence.
