St Louis Mo is across the Mississippi River from Cahokia.
It is 460 feet above sea level.
It is also where the Missouri and Mississippi rivers meet.

These “mega floods” were most likely from El Nino caused rains falling on the Missouri and Mississippi watersheds that reach into the Rocky Mountains.
