Graham Hancock's next book

oh joy.

Here's Jason Colavito's initial estimate:

http://www.jasoncolavito.com/blog/graha ... in-america

Here I was hoping that Hancock would be working on early coastal India and S.E. Asia.

Andrew Collins also has an interest:

Well, good luck with it.
Perhaps some publisher will consider sending me a large amount of money to update "Man and Impact in the Americas",
or I can position my work as ta rational alternative to this next book.
It is almost certain that I will have to deal with any mistakes or nonsense Hancock makes or includes.
(It won't be worse than Tony here.)

In the meantime, my own work in the field continues, as I continue to try to win the Lord Kingsbury Prize (dying of disease in debtor's prison).

I suspect Hancock has learned, as Trump clearly knows, that you can never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American populace.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

min, dealing with the impact hazard has been done on a bi-partisan basis, as were a number of other problems that faced this nation when I lived in DC and worked as a reporter there.
I particularly despise the attack politics which have come to the fore, and many fine public servants on both sides of the aisle have left town because of it.
I lay this phenomenon at Newt Gingrich, Roger Stone, and Rush Limbaugh's feet.

I am awaiting the forensics of the hacked Podesta emails' distribution, and the technical analysis of the hack.
I believe Roger Baker and Victoria Nuland may have been involved, particularly in the Bengazi affair,
which reminds me of Whitewater affair
- a general fishiing expedition, but one in which you know beforehand exactly what you are going to catch .

Given my reporting background, and the severe nature of the issues I reported on,
ususally I am not very partisan, but I will point out to you that your analysis of Trump's appeal is mistaken.
He is speaking very directly about issues that many US citizens are very concerned about.
IBut i my view, his analysis of how they came to be is seriously flawed.

As Gov. Kasich here in Ohio has pointed out repeatedly, Trump has no positive plans to solve them.
I am also of the opinion that Kasich did not get fair media coverage during the campaign for the nomination.

As this is a board about archaeology, could we please keep Trump out of it, unless it affects archaeological issues?

Here in Ohio, as we can see from the news,
Brad Lepper has just removed the Huron from their homes near Sandusky,
despite the artifacts showing their presence here from 10,850 BCE and before,
and despite the artifacts showing their presence on both sides of Lake Erie.
The frustration of many Ohioans with OHS is pretty much bi-partisan.
Theoretically, any political system is supposed to solve the problems facing the people living in it.

I do not share your glowing opinion of Trump's fans, E.P.

They are easily conned....by what is merely a very clever con artist.

I have no respect for them at all.

And they have nor respect for you, min,
and therein lies the problem.

min, Having already pointed out that theoretically this is an archaeology bbs, and not one devoted to politics,
I would like to note that this is where Newt's attack politics have led us.
Newt is the guy who tied up Bush Snr. in wartime; and I do have nor respect for him and his partners at all.

By the way, hacks not from Russia, but routed through open ports based there:
https://gizmodo.com/hackers-claim-they- ... 1787757594
This routing through multiple ports is standard hacker protocol.
This is an NSA matter, and it also appears that Apple needs to hire some security consultants.

Ignorant racists are not deserving of respect, E.P.

I agree with you completely on that, min.

I have to deal with them all of the time, and sadly not only on the fringe.

There are many professional archaeologists and anthropologists who have no respect for Native oral histories.
There is no excuse for their actions.

As Percy Bullchild put it, "whites" think that Natives were/are too stupid to build anything.
Based on this observation, Percy predicted the success of "Ancient Aliens".

While I do not hold Piegan (Blackfoot) belief's, Percy was absolutely right in these observations.

In hopefully closing this discussion here of Mr. Trump,
not all of his supporters are ignorant racists, min.

That said, I would like to note that Mr. Trump lacks both Perot's intelligence and sense of duty,
and Buchanan's moral fibre.
What Trump is doing is very successfully is speaking about the same issues both Perot and Buchanan raised.

Now could we remove political discussion from the archaeological bbs,
unless the politics involves archaeology?

Hi min -

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016 ... hal-files/

Right through Newt, as I predicted here.
I wonder when the search through the FBI records will get to Victoria Nuland and Roger Kagan, and when it will be reported.

min, you need to understand that the current NEO hazard effort goes across the US and the EU, and is undertaken on a bi-partisan basis in many countries.
I now try to do work in a limited area of that, in addition to which, I can barely type.

I hope you watched Bill Maier's broadcast and carefully noted what Sen. Kerry and his other guest tried to tell him.

I always watch Bill Maher...and I've never been impressed with Kerry because he was a blue dog democrat which means a conservative in blue.

It seems to me that Trump and his Russki buddies have been able to hack any email server they liked..... except HIllary's private one. Perhaps she was on to something there?

Hi min -

1) Not all hackers are on the left, "techno hippies", or "mods", so to speak.
2) Hackers regularly route through servers in the former Soviet Union.
3) They will regularly use 7 or more "ports" (of call) to conceal their location during an attack.
4) The will also use foreign "ports" (portals ) in distribution.
5) You can try to locate them by distribution, timing of the materials,
6) Intent is often shown by the timing of releases.
7) NSA salaries are too low to attract the best.

Sometimes they are motivated by the demonstration of ability,
their claim to power,
or their notions of the political processes.

Note who did did tracking.
My opinion is still the same, that the NSA needs higher salaries to attract the best in the industry.

One thing this means is that Russian intelligence knew the details of Newt's attack operation and played them like a violin -
"useful idiots" being the old term.

Nuland and Kagan were caught "red handed", and that led to this.

Previews of coming attractions:
Assange replies to NSA accusations via RT:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IfrNZfqGsQ
in which he speaks about other recent hacking efforts.

and Clinton and the LaFarge affair in France:
https://francais.rt.com/international/2 ... -confie-rt
the video gives you some idea of Assange's thinking, and how he views the release tranches.

Well, from Hancock's new book to Assange's:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3HWiydFlJc

And post election:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/har ... 0e69ce2f56

If anyone (in particular Bibi) is expecting Russia to return the Crimea to Ukraine,
they are living in a fantasy land, in my opinion.
Sine this is an archaeological bbs, I will note here that this has implications for excavations along the Black Sea,
an area of high interest for PPN and human evolution.
