Squatters in Caral?
I just saw 2 articles about this in the news. Could this be true? If so, it's unbelievable. I couldn't find any other reports as yet.

Between Trump and covid it is hard to get any other news in the US.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Sounds accurate. Isn't it true in Mexico (Guatemala) that some archaeologists have to have heavily armed bodyguards? On a recent programme on military archaeology in Poland the archaeologists had barely broken ground when a group of suspicious vehicles suddenly appeared.

Bury them five metres underground? Surprisingly thorough.
The cause here seems clear enough as does the solution. Give the people land elsewhere or pay them for what they have lost. They are not squatting in pursuit of some mystical/political ideology, they are trying to provide for their families. Why not hire them as rangers as they do in Africa and elsewhere, give them a stake in the area.

Typical comfortable westerner response! Bullets don't grow on trees FYI, and then there are the firearms, gun oil etc. It all adds up.#
