So how do you find all the great links on the news page?
Is it as much work as I think it is? Are you using google search, if so what keywords are you using?
I check the online English language news from Greece and Turkey on a regular basis, and get a lot of stuff from there. National Geographic is also good. I wonder how you come across some of the great stuff on the news page.

I'm currently using 23+ different sources from Google to small Middle Eastern-European newspapers.
Each morning I grab the coffee and start the search of each one. Then I read the LA Times and the NY Times.
Now that's the way to start a day: Old Stuff, Ancient Stuff and coast to coast.
Acutally I am sucker for punishment

Ditto thanks to Michelle.
Reading the News has been a great education for me.
Do some people use the forum without linking from the news page?

Ditto on the first part, I too find the news page a great way to learn.
Actually, I have both the news page and the forum listed in my favorites. I have the news on my work computer because we have fast access and I can get more reading done on my break than I can on my home computer. I have really sloooooow dail-up.

Arch,
Click the 'profile' icon at the top of the page. That will take you to the screen to change your password.
Let me know if you have any problems.

Yeh, but the thing is that my computer is almost brand new, with every bell and whistle I could get. Problem is that the phone lines out here in the almost country are so old they won't carry DSL or even 56K. Since I'm the only person on my road that has a computer, much less uses the internet, they won't up grade them. And I live only six miles from the university.

Leona,
What about going wireless or broadband wireless? Is that available in your area?
I don't know if you are using a desktop or laptop, but I got a wireless broadband card for my laptop, (to check on the munchkins here at the forum while travelling) and I love it. It has speeds that exceed DSL.
Just a thought!
