Because if anyone gave you people the chance you'd do it again! And for the same reason as last time.....because whenever someone questions your fairy tales it makes you nervous and religious fanatics don't like being nervous.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

you keep holding over the heads of believers something that took place 200 or more years ago and done by the catholic church, not the protestant one.
.
What difference does it make which Christian sect it was?

Anyway, here in Britain the protestants used to burn catholics at the stake .... (or failing that, an effigy of the pope). True, it was all over 200 yeras aho.

oddly enough, such things seem to have stopped around the time Darwin came up with his evolutionary theory .......

then they had darwin and evolutionists to practice on.

a very big difference espcially since catholics practice many non-biblical principles and enforce many non-biblical dogmas.

But I thought the Roman Catholic church derives directly from Jesus via Peter?

Whereas protestants are more recent offshoots.

I would have always thought the original Romam church was the closest to what Christ taught?

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
They were Jews.
So was Jesus.
Also, Mary(as well as the Mary who they say was married to Jesus) Joseph, Peter, Paul, John, Matthew, and the rest.

Oh, and don't forget the 300 and something bishops who decided what texts were proper for the book they were writing.

They were fictitious. That means you can make them Mormons if you want and that has already been done, too!

You still think your drivel is worthy of serious discussion?

if you want to be taken seriously, it is time for your side to present something credible, concise, logical with supporting scientific evidence and links.

but knowing you all are reluctant to go against the truth i am sure the next 10 resposonses will be the same old same old.

Moses was real
he must be
he had the same reed basket birth story as Sargon the great
except that Sargon did it a millenia earlier
you see i think thats called divine mimicry
god saw what had happened to Sargon and then made it happen to Moses because he thought it was a good idea

just like he made his chosen people slaves of the egyptians in 1500bce
and then again he made them slaves of the babylonians in 500bce where they got to write it all down in the bible along with a load of rehashed mesopotamian legends which of course must have happened to only them
divine mimicry again see
if you don't have faith then you're going to burn in hell which of course only the jews found out about when they discovered that Satan existed who up until that point had been a sumerian phrase SA.AN (rival of heaven)
http://psd.museum.upenn.edu/epsd/epsd/e4600.html
http://psd.museum.upenn.edu/epsd/epsd/e347.html
lucky they told us or we wouldn't have known eh
and luckily they noticed that heaven was a spiritual place as well because every other ancient race believed it was a mountain somewhere
what a bunch of idiots those ancient peoples were eh
fancy getting it all so wrong
i bet theyre all burning in hell right now saying
"boy were we wrong"
