The Intelligent Design crowd takes a beating in Kansas....of all places.
Obviously even farmers get tired of being treated like hicks.

Conservatives lose majority on State Board of Ed
JOHN MILBURN
Associated Press
TOPEKA, Kan. - Moderate Republicans scored key primary victories in State Board of Education races, wrestling control from conservatives in a battle shaped by the debate over the teaching of evolution.
Conservative Republicans began Tuesday with a 6-4 board majority. However, one of their incumbents lost, and a pro-evolution moderate won the GOP nomination for a seat held by a retiring conservative.
The results left only four board members who voted last year to adopt science standards that questioned the validity of evolutionary theory.
In one of the most watched races on the ballot, Sally Cauble, of Liberal, defeated anti-evolution incumbent Connie Morris, of St. Francis. With 99 percent of the precincts reporting early Wednesday, Cauble held a 54 percent to 46 percent lead in the 5th District, which covers 41 western counties.
Hallelujah!
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

yes, kindof a sad day. to grant a monopoly to evolution only subverts education and promotes brainwashing. if evolutionists were right, they would have nothing to fear about sharing the classroom.
as it stands, the only way they will get their message across is if they force down the throats of the unsuspecting, through pure hitlerian tactics. kindof a shame they could not allow character and honesty to dictate their methods.
though i do not agree with many intelligent designers beyond the basics, i think monopolies in the public classrooms are just wrong. but that is the level in which evolutionists canobtain. they cannot honestly prove their theory so they resort to strategies that place in their hands, responsibility that is not theirs to hold.
if i was an evolutionist, i would be ashamed at the demeanor, the attitude, the behavior of those who shared such thoughts. there is nothing wrong with teaching about more than one theory, or alternative, in the same classroom

It's so sad that you are so deluded and brainwashed that you think your last post showed the remotest signs of intelligence. The world must be an awful place to you, Arch. With all these evil non-believers everywhere taking away your fairy tale. Pooooooooooor you. Don't bother to respond. You're ignored because everything you say is stupid.

Perhaps there really is HOPE that the American electorate will get off its ass in November and put the smackdown on Bush and his Gang. If Kansas can come to its senses than anywhere else can do it!

Provided they were equally compelling theories.
They are not.
American students spend an insufficient amount of time in science classes compared to much of the developed world. We do not need the curriculum watered down even more by pretending that fairy tales are the equivalent of science.
If they want to learn about talking snakes and walking on water they can go to church on sunday and get their fill.

doesn't this undermine what you said in the other post?Don't bother to respond. You're ignored because everything you say is stupid.
that's right, force evolution down people's throats even though they have the freedom to study what they want. evolutionists are doing exactly what they accuse the creationists of and thatmakes them hypocrites and wrong.American students spend an insufficient amount of time in science classes compared to much of the developed world. anyways, i have said all i need to say here in this topic and will try not to return to it. this subject has run its course and anything more would just be too much.

I agree religion inspired dogmas have no place in classrooms ,the influence of any religion should be banned from schools .Arch is just applying a twisted sense of logic when he claims the biblical teachings should coexist with evolutionism in classrooms . There is absolutely no evidence for creationism ,on the contrary all sciences working together have sufficiently discredited the bible as physics, astronomy, anthropologyy, biology, statistics, chemistry, archaeology, in fact all sciences are now building a formidable coherent picture of the history of our universe ,starting even before the big bang till now,all parts of the puzzle are nicely falling into place with only a fewpiecesmissing or unknown . .This picture is beautifull and very complex and contains a beauty far beyond the primitive imagination of the goatherders that were responsible for the creationist's view heralded for a few thousands of years .The only problem with science is that it needs more imagination and study to be understood .Lazy people tend to adopt the simplistic views asit takes less effort .Especially children should never be confronted with religion as their mindframe is not sufficiently developed to make the choices involved in adopting the consequences of the inherent choices .
I think therefore I am
what are you afraid of? if evolution is right then there should be no problem but since its foundaytion is buyiltof the shakiest thinking then i can see where you would object.I agree religion inspired dogmas have no place in classrooms ,the influence of any religion should be banned from schools
no i am not for science can test the results of creation which is done anyways outside of the laboratory, the problemis you know evolution has no leg to stand on when faced with the truth.Arch is just applying a twisted sense of logic when he claims the biblical teachings should coexist with evolutionism in classrooms
actually they are not as i have proven by the quotes i used from the book 'Origins".in fact all sciences are now building a formidable coherent picture of the history of our universe ,starting even before the big bang till now

Arch you understand nothing ,creationists has no place in the classroom asit has nothing to do with the real world, only with religion .Everybody knows that ,except you .You are just a missionary ,nothing more .You were fun to read for a week but a feeble opponent .I am done with you and asit seems everybody else .You already made clear you have no wish to discuss science, your only purpose is to defend your personal beliefs .This is not the intention of the forum .You are abusive ,your posts are elusive, not persuasive, never scientific and yourself the best proof that religion has no place at school.I will never tolerate a child to be abused as you obviously were .Science is too beautifull to be corrupted. For me this ends all discussion with you .Everybody is bored with these sterile discussions with you .For me it ends here .I will come back when you are gone .
