Sorry, that was a reply specifically to Beagle, who reads the forums at http://www.bosnian-pyramid.com

Hi Starflower, sorry I haven't gotten back sooner but because it's Sunday I usually have family obligations - 3 grown children, 1 grandchild.

To your question  , Merlin is a poster on the Bosnian Pyramid forum. He can be found by first going to the website, clicking on forum, then clicking on general. Most of Merlins' posts are at the top of the page under a topic called "Let me answer all your questions" or something like that.

As I've said before, the issue is finally a dead one for me, thanks to Dr. Schoch. I only hope that folks can just leave the Bosnians alone now. I doubt it though.

I hope I've answered your question. :)

thanks to Dr. Schoch.

Have we actually heard from Schoch.....or just his main squeeze?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

The letter was from Colette, his girlfriend/assistant/whatever. It's very strange when you read it, as she seems to be sending a picture to the Daily Grail and asking them to post it. Then she goes on to share her thoughts with the girl at TDG. So to me it seems like a private letter not intended for publication. At one point she says "we haven't told Sammie yet". Well - she has now!

So - in my own mind I'm left wondering if Colette just screwed up by sending that info or if it was contrived. In any case it's enough for me. I have been checking TDG and Schochs website to make sure he gets out of the country.

Interestingly, many people are not bad mouthing him as they were just a few days ago.

It's a blog, which is often used as an informal way of sharing 'private' thoughts. I think that's why it reads the way it does, but I agree, it is a bit odd as it reads as though it was meant to be confidential.

But as she posts at TDG regularly, I assume she knew what she was doing.

I've always said I'd listen seriously to anything Schoch said about what he saw in Bosnia. Even though I think he's wrong on the Sphinx's date, I don't think he's incompetent when it comes to geology, Yale doesn't turn out incompetent PhDs (I went there as an undergraduate).
When he starts talking about archaeology, which is not his field, it's a different story.

my thinking is, she wrote it in that style just to keep the criticisms down and to not arouse any national fervor while still in the country. it was probably just a safety move nothing more.

You must be thinking of Tony Harding when he took a short geology stroll.
He is a big loser in this mess. He will have to work to get his credibility back.

TDG describes Colettes letter as a blog, which one would expect them to do. That doesn't mean that it is. A personal letter is still a personal letter. But as I've said, it doesn't matter to me. I said earlier when we heard that Schoch was going over there that when I heard something from him, that would end it for me.

I look forward to his report though.

It's in the Blogs section, she put it there. It isn't something TDG put up themselves on their website.

I can't see Tony Harding losing his credibility if he's right. Now if he was wrong, that would be another story.
