In terms of the whole war - I agree. I've seen shows that depict one battle (Washingtons' crossing of the Delaware for instance) that are first rate.

I guess I had never realized how much rank stupidity contributed to the British defeat. Some of the proclamations they issued were counterproductive beyond belief.

You were still lucky in that, unlike modern Aardvark's (George W. Bush) your commanders were separated by enough time and distance to be able to act independently in tactical situations. Moreover, no one could accuse old George of not giving his commanders an adequate force to deal with the problem.

But on several occasions those commanders issued inflammatory proclamations which infuriated the rebels, cowed the Tories and forced the non-commited to get off te fence.

it was not an adequate supply of troops ships and weapons that he failed to provide

and anyway min
america didn't exist offically until after the war
so claiming "yayay the americans won" is a blatant falsehood
everyone was english
who did you think would lose
besides which
you guys sided with the french which is the only reason you had any successes
and you guys have to live with that

I thought Patriot was one of the worst movies ever made. Glory wasn't bad until they got carried away at the end.

There was a lot of speculation as to what was behind Gatenbrinks' Door in the GP. Even Z. Hawass had a few wild ideas of his own. The issue died quickly when it was shown that only another small "room" was on the other side.

When we get a chance, I think this "door" is more interesting than meets the eye. There is a reason the shafts were built. And there must be a reason their existence was hidden.
