Here is an excellent site on the history or writing with lots of good
illustrations. It's long....but a good reference for this board.

Great find, Stan.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

yes a good site toperuse, thoughit seems more focused on mayan/olmec language than most of theothers. i didn't find where they said how early writing started except that 'egypt and indus developeded independently from mesoamerica'

any cross references available to date the origin of writing?
