If facts insult our YEC he has only himself to blame. He should cease behaving the Coward, acting Hypocritically, and Lying.Frank Harrist wrote:That's probably about enough of the name-calling and insults.
Everyone save our YEC has tried to do that. Eventually, it becomes pointless.Lets get back to discussing facts.
We have waited over a day for him to defend himself, rebut evidence if he can et cetera ad nauseum. He refuses, contributing instead puerile insults and tantrums.Wait ten minutes after you read a post that pisses you off.

I do not care.Essan wrote:To be fair - all I ever see is name calling these days
I kmake a post. I come back next day. I see the thread has moved on 3 pages. And then I see that in fact not one serious comment has appeared on those 3 pages .....
I don;t really see the point in it all?
Sorry.
Correcting ignorance is more important than your intestinal comfort.
YES . . . I suppose it would be "nice" if those with a "new theory" that challenges . . . well . . . everything would be willing to defend their theory with an attitude just a triffle more developed than that witnessed in the seedier sections of the playground, but we play what cards we are given.
One can fold up--as you frankly seem to advocate--shrink from the fallacious tactics--the smearing of 300+ years of scholarship and science--and scurry aways.
But what will you do without freedom?
What will you do [Cue Battle Hymn of the Republic--Ed.] when your children are forc'd to cease learning useful subjects such as history, science, and hatred of the MFYs in order to swallow such decimated nonsense as young Earth creationism--a myth that is actually contradicted by the very texts it seeks to support?
What will you do when they come for you? After everyone has been taken away? Gnashing your teeth will not help you then, sir! No sir! As you are forced to watch . . . watch . . . whatever it is Creationists watch these days [Christian porn.--Ed.]. What? [Yes.--Ed.] My word!
Well . . . okay then, mayhaps you prefer an existence watching Christian porn . . . I am not here to judge you . . . but what about the CHILDREN?!! Must they suffer in your ignorance, for that is what you advocate.
You would let fatuous claims be made and polite questions for support remain ignored.
All to chase your unicorn of "civility."
Yet who broke the bonds of civility? Who behaved as the least worthy exemplar of the Great Unwashed? Who has refused to support his claims and has responded with insult and some really bad jokes?
You do not hate children . . .
. . .
. . .
. . . do you?

If it's really that foolish, you have nothing to worry about, but you continue to worry, why is that?

P.S. Odd that he cannot handle the results of his radius dictated by the myths. . . .
I'll answer thatGenesis Veracity wrote:Way to go X, you acknowledged that catastrophism played a great role in the formation of the geologic column, now, after all of your extensive research, how many catastrophic events do you suppose caused the geologic column?

The erosion of ancient mountains to create the talus fields that later became torridon sandstone did not exactly occur overnight. And even the great basalt fields of the Deccan Traps - hundreds of feet thick - were built up over a long time. Indeed such thickness of basalt would still be hot today were they extruded within the time frame of a YEC.
The eruptions of Yellowstone were undoubtably of a catastrophic nature - and again are not the sort of events from which the earth would quickly recover.
The iridium layer of the KY boundary clearly demonstrates an extra-terrestrial source (and famously led to the discovery of the Chicxulub impact crater - where the so-called dinosaur killer meteorite struck).
I'm not sure of any YEC explanation for this and the dozens of other major impact craters? be interesting to know if there is one?
What happens when you let foolish ideas run unchallenged.
Pity it proved too subtle for you.
The radius of the Earth determines the volume of the flood. I re-ran the calculations using your height--which violates both Flood Myths, incidentally--and . . . the same results.
Too much water in too little time.
