The Old World is a reference to those parts of Earth known to Europeans before the voyages of Christopher Columbus; it includes Europe, Asia and Africa.

I just went back to page 31 before I found any posts on the topic of Giza.
So Giza? Anyone?

We can all read back and see what was said GV - stop damaging yourself further. Are you willing to take me up on this or no?

I bet it will be no. I don't think you can keep your theories out of unrelated threads. I don't think you can follow the board rules.

I keep hoping, we just need to clear the way first.

No surprise here. He isn't going to get himself into an agreement like that. Plus he probably doesn't know anything about the Atlantis myth anyway.

Oas, you need some memory food.

Can you keep your underlying Darwinite imaginations out of the essence and presuppositions of your posts? (This oughta be good.)

Not a bad site I just googled.
http://www.culturefocus.com/egypt_pyramids.htm
It seems likely that the Pyramids of Giza were not built by slaves but by paid laborers motivated by a faith in the divinity and immortality of their kings.
So could they have been public service projects, like all the dams and roads built during the depression? Too many people, not enough wars, gotta find something to keep everyone busy? Go ahead, shoot me down, at least we'll be talking about Giza in the Giza thread  (What a concept  )

Hey Starflower, would you like to learn about how the ancient Egyptians determined the dimensions to use for the Great Pyramid, and how they determined the length for the royal cubit?

Beagle, read back a bit about my statements about Atlantis, you need to do your homework.

The "public works" idea has been around, or was a long time ago. It doesn't seem to have any support anymore.

I've spent the last month looking at so much Giza stuff that I'm about blind, and for me - the mystery deepens.

Hey Beagle, do you want to learn how the ancient Egyptians determined the dimensions to use for the Great Pyramid (of Giza), and why they used the length they did for the royal cubit?

So I'll take that as a "no" as I expected from you.

OK folks - back to Giza. GV can't commit to following the board rules. Thanks GV......

"Back to Giza," so, ok Oas, would you like to learn how the ancient Egyptians determined, because of astronomy, the dimensions to use for the Great Pyramid of Giza, and would you like to know why the length of their royal cubit was selected?
