Submerged Thracian Culture

Post by Guest »

Contemporaries of the Hittites (Catal Huyuk), on the western shores of the Black Sea in modern Bulgaria, were the Thracians, so I would guess that the submerged ruins at the mouths of the now-submerged river channels of the lower Danube and Dnieper Rivers were of the Thracian culture. How sophisticated have been the artifacts and any buildings which they have discovered on the shallow seafloor there?

From what I've read, the Black Sea rose about a foot per day when the ocean broke through the Bosporus, so they had a few weeks to clear out of coastal towns, and it was all over in about a year.

Instead of constantly answering your own posts why not use the 'edit' button on the top right?
