Archaeologists have many disagreements, some pretty violent at times. An obvious example is 'Clovis first'.

I also like this theory of how they could have done so much,
I wonder if this is where they found out how to make big things.

Yep, if someone were able to demonstrate exactly how Coral Castle was built, it would still be a marvel.

Of course they do.....it's when impertinent outsiders infringe on their turf that they close ranks to defend the status quo.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I know Wally quite well
he says hes spent the last 15 years trying to tell people how to do this only to find that they generally arent interested because theres more money to be made from the general public not knowing how it was done.

If this long link doesn't work, go to the Archaeologia news for today.
This is a great article about some good archaeological work.
Since I have not been a huge fan of Egyptian history, it opened my eyes a little. But maybe it is old hat to some of you.
Interesting info about climate, too.

Stan, I read this earlier today. It's a very good article but I came away wondering about something. This article makes a good point about these people eventually migrating over to the area of the future Egyptian civilization, but as we know, there was a northern and southern culture that was eventually united by Narmer.

This group, I would guess, would be the southern culture. So I'm not sure if the question about the northern culture has been answered.

Mind you, I'm only thinking out loud. I'm not even certain that they were different cultures, but they had different kings.

the Northern culture was known as lower egypt
and the southern culture as upper egypt
I always thought they labelled it like that just to confuse people but its actually because of the Nile

Right now I cannot tell you I believe this is hydrothermal (explosive steam) or (meteor) impactaid.
Better send Scoch before Oz gets wind of this.

After watching the show "Egypt: Engineering an Empire" for an hour, I think it's good.

Personally, it has answered a few questions, and created a few, and I like that. Another hour to go.
