I'm frequently appalled by the number of things that most Americans have no concept about.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

There's a story in today's news about some people in an Atlanta suburb who want
to ban the Harry Potter books because they 'promote the Wiccan religion."

These people must be desparate if they take this seriously....

No wonder children today have no imagination at all!

Probably the same folks that didn't let their kids see Disney's "Hercules" because it promoted false gods......

Amazing how some people can accept one book of fairy tales as absolute truth and then get thoroughly phobic about others. It's sad about kids today not having any imagination. They can't think of anything fun to do so they copy the bad stuff they are fed by the media and money mongers on Wall Street.

I was watching my nephew play some Hi-Def football video game. I can see the allure.....it's even better than going out and throwing a ball around yourself.

No wonder these kids won't get off the couch.

Don't know what the kids in Arizona are like, but here in Tennessee there's only one word to describe them FAT. Sometimes I think the girls could use an epdemic of anorexia. After all one is just a bad as the other.

We're raising a generation of fat, lazy unimaginative kids.

But who still maintain a tremendous sense of entitlement.

fat kids without brains etc...

It's kind of disheartening to read these posts reiterating all the cliches about America... then I look at the sidebar and see you're all over there in Arizona and so on and therefore I guess you know what you're talking about. I'd kind of hoped the view of America we get over here in the UK was somewhat exaggerated, but maybe not. Not that we haven't got our own share of dummies but all the same...
If anyone here has either a) access to a time machine or b) inclination to start a completely new country (sunny climate preferred) please, please, please let me know.

Not only that but they have very over inflated egos. The mantra seems to be to make them feel very good about themselves. Guess that's why you seen teen-age girls who are 30 - 40 pounds overweight running around in mini-skirts and middrif baring tops. AND it's not allowed to tell them how terrible they look. Self-esteem has replaced self-respect. Girls seem to feel that their self-worth is determined by the size of their chest, not the size of their personality. "It's okay if I'm as dumb as dog turds, just look at the size of my boobs. My parents had to mortgage the house for them."

If its not too politically incorrect to say, Leona, I think girls are a bigger problem than boys on that score.

Welcome aboard, War Arrow. Stupidity is not an American invention but we do see to have made an art form out of it in the last two elections.

Amen brother. I have three girls and one granddaughter. THAT IS ENOUGH. Of course, those four grandsons will be more than a handful in a few years.
