I think it wouldn't take long to dig up other examples of how some men defied the scholoarship of their day and made revolutionary discoveries.

Very true statement. Religion is often based on faith which is defined as the evidence of things not seen or measured. I guess given that definition, it is anti-science, but anti-science does not mean ignorant.
Agreed Monk. We all have to make the best balanced assessment we can between believing everything and believing nothing and there are times when logic does break down.
Taking what I said earlier about evidence of ET versus the Ark, ESSA yesterday launched a new satellite to search for Earth like planets. If the same money was used in a search for the Ark I suspect funding would die. But in all things I like to keep an open mind.
I lived long enough to see many experts trying to remove their foot from their mouth.

Not here where the bible-belters would think it was a marvelous way to spend money.
Try not to give them any more ideas, will ya?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

BTW, on another board I'm on, someone posted that there was a bill to make Jesus the Honorary "King" of Poland. The bill had only 46 supporters out of a 450 seat house.
Unfortunately, I suspect the vote would be much closer in our beloved House of Representatives.

There's a History International repeat of a special on The French Revolution tonight.
I'm going to record it for myself but it you're interested..... It's a hell of a lot better than anything Jacobovici ever did.

I was just about to knock out the commercials. It's a two hour show and I want to get it down to a reasonable download.
