Here's a pretty little stemmed projectile point I found today in the upper portions of the Pleistocene gravels, at subunit Romeo:

It has a chisel tip, like this one, discussed earlier:

I've seen her questions section - it just didn't occur to me to go there. I need to get in there more often though.

Two gnarly, unifacial hand axes, found in situ, in the 4-5" stratum containing a whole bunch of heavily charred and heavily iron stained cobbles, and most of the hand axes recovered recently  :

Charlie- this one looks like the carbonate was carved or pecked too.
It was very common to manipulate the patina, a lot easier to scratch.

We should organize an expedition.....

I'll bring the beer.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Heck yeah.

The First Annual Convention of "The Anarcheologists"!

I'm all for it, and will host, if you guys really think we can pull it off. 8)

We can send invitations to the club, just to yank their chain. :P
I'll bring the beer.
I'll take you up on that! Maybe we can make a big ol' fire and cook up a side of beef. :P

Hmmm.....I can hear the wife now.

Reminds me of this old joke.
Golf On The Sly

A married man was having an affair with his secretary. One day, their passions overcame them and they took off for her house, where they made passionate love all afternoon. Exhausted from the wild sex, they fell asleep and awoke at around 8 p.m. As the man threw on his clothes, he told the woman to take his shoes outside and rub them through the grass and dirt. Mystified, she nonetheless complied and he slipped into his shoes and drove home.
"Where have you been?" demanded his wife when he entered the house.

"Darling," replied the man, "I can't lie to you. I've been having an affair with my secretary and we've been having sex all afternoon. I fell asleep and didn't wake up until eight o'clock."

The wife glanced down at his shoes and said, "You lying bastard! You've been playing golf!"

Just invite her, and tell her about how we're gonna stare at rocks the whole time...I bet she'll back out. :P
