And now, incredibly, scientists say they doubt that there was anything from space at all.
It's the "Roswell Scenario" all over again. Pretty soon they'll tell us it was a weather balloon.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.
I can't remember if it was Plato that also summed it up by saying that his generation was not effete but the next one would be!
Some things don't change.
First people deny a thing, then they belittle it, then they say it was known all along! Von Humboldt
I've just watching a programme with three guys padling around in 4ft of muddy water feeling with their feet for a 400lb gator!
Is the world completly mad?

It threatens to work, R/S....although it tells me that I need to upgrade to (yet another) newer version of Pando.

After many years, and after the death of Christopher Reeve, there has been another Superman movie made. After a brief run in the theatres, it is now showing on HBO and can be viewed worldwide by satellite. Pretty good movie, it's titled "Superman Returns"
As a Windows user you should be used to that, shouldn't you?
Grumble.....grumble.......

Beagle wrote:Could be. In any case, it's right on cue. Maybe it's time to make another "Bigfoot" movie.
You want the airwaves preoccupied again with non-discussions on what new Bigfoot sightings/images are real and which aren't? Such a waste of time and attention.
Anyway, my point, if it can be called that, is that whatever boogeyman is being reported at any given time always seems to be whatever was on TV the night before.
People's perceptions are molded very easily, and in ways they're unaware of.
As this is off topic just like to mention the last time i did study at university which was in 2004 we where not allowed in our assignments to quote either the T.V or the internet as reference sources even if the TV shows did have one of out lecturers featured just a general interest item.

I understand but do not agree with the policy F/T. I could write a paper and quote any book by Velikovsky, for example, but it does not make my source any more credible than if I had quoted a paper published on the net. All sources must be considered as to relevence, authorship, date, and accuracy no matter where they are obtained.
The web will never replace printed media, but the web is the most amazing information resource I have ever known in my entire life.
TV? pffft - it is a commercial enterprise from top to bottom with very little integrity. In the 60+ years of its existence, it has never lived up to its promise.
