Global warming.

Here's where you get off topic and off center....Keep it nice, keep it clean, no sniping, no flaming. After that, anything goes.

So much for the Polar Bear going extinct!
So perhaps the polar bears could give us some advice on how to survive the next oncoming interglacial period?

Why would they want to help us?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

A small group of US experts stubbornly insist that, contrary to what the vast majority of their colleagues believe, humans may not be responsible for the warming of the planet Earth.
I think they can add the members of this forum to that group as well.

A small group of US experts
Hired by Exxon, no doubt....and members of the Republican National Committee!

Yep! The so called 'consensus' represents the most massive avoidance of scientific evidence since 'Clovis first'.
The last time the UN group met they listed some of people who had supported their findings. One was in charge of the catering and one listed herself as an 'ecological lawyer'.
Eh?

Well now that figures. There's got to be money in this thing somewhere.

And does a lot in my eyes Beag to weaken the so called consensus. Bad science never proved anything.

Americans don't require proof. They'll believe anything if it's said often enough.

With so many people around the world saying that greenhouse gases are causing global warming, when it's obviously not true, I have to wonder what's the payoff for these people.

Maybe they are just dedicated environmentalists who think the end justifies the means. I'm probably being too kind.

I don't trust anything that the Bush administration says. When one lie is detected a thousand are suspected!

What I want to know Beag is how Gore and company will explain how they got it so wrong if time turns things against them.
It could be fun to watch.

Explain? My British friend, U.S. politicians never explain anything. They talk a lot, then say that they've already answered the question.

In any case, I think the Gore position will just lose steam and go away.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between yours and ours Beag.
'Tother day one of our Government Ministers was seen asking reporters where it had all gone wrong!
How clueless can you get?
