High Beag, fine thanks. You have, on occasion, to acept that others are more expert than you are, and I made the mistake of assuming that my doctor knew what he was talking about, that the pain I have been in since my surgery was normal and would eventually cease.
The consultant, when I finally had had enough, called me into hospital as an emergency admittance and told me that I had a stark choice, accept that I needed surgery and would have a catheter for some weeks or face the possiblity of permanent kidney damge.
Not much of a choice was it?
Now, for the first time since my sugery, I am free of pain. I may face further procedures but they will be minor. And spring is with us once again and the Sun is shining.

Ugh... didn't realise you were continuing to have trouble of this kind, Dig, and was almost wincing to read your post there, so thank God you've got it sorted out now.
Unfortunately I hear you on the Doctors thing. I had something go wrong with my left ear a few years ago. It felt like that pressure thing where the eustacian tubes (?) connecting inner ear to throat close up or 'pop', but much more pronounced in that my balance went for a while, aside from extremely loud tinnitus. Not life threatening but very unpleasant for a long time. The various doctors (at least the ones whose use of English I could understand mutter mumble) all said there was nothing wrong with my ear, and an MRI scan similarly revealed nothing. In the end, it passed after about a year, but it's still a bit annoying that I don't know what it was and no-one seemed able to tell me.
Maybe it was UFOs?
Anyway, glad you're doing better and have a good spring.

Well if it's the UFOs WA they must have a perch over my house!
In my case I was all due to my life style as a younster, M/C accident, skull fracture, ruptured ear drum, balance organs shot, you get the picture? But it does normally clear after a time.
Thanks for the kind comments all, I've just had my second uniterrupted night's sleep that I've had for months, it's great!

Another debate tomorrow. This one in Ohio and hopefully it won't be a total waste of time. I think they have to talk about economic issues. So we'll see if they actually know anything or not.
There is some real estate market depression in the Cleveland area. This is something that happens from time to time in any area. Homeowners do not get foreclosed on because of this.
Also Ohio has a relatively large unemployment rate. Although it's not too bad, it's higher than most other states. Here is the unemployment rate by state. 3.5% unemployment is considered ideal, as it has some economic flexibility with the job movement.
